working to make mental health care accessible and affordable

Our Goal

Maryland Families for Access to Comprehensive Treatment (Maryland FACT) seeks to expand mental health care resources for all residents of Maryland. Many residents are critically underserved by mental health resources that are unavailable, are too far away, or are too expensive.

To achieve this goal, we are supporting a legislative effort to allow specially-qualified psychologists to prescribe mental health medication, in collaboration with patients' primary care physicians. This will help increase both the quality of care and access to care for people who need mental health services.
